This notice describes the data processed by the current version of Qwizzy, why it is needed and the choices available to you.
The English text is the source version. Translations are provided for clarity.
Data on this device
Qwizzy stores preferences, offline high scores, player names, premium status, level progress, game history and a local copy of your question-submission history on your device. This data stays local unless an online feature described below requires it.
Anonymous account and online features
Qwizzy normally creates an anonymous Supabase account so online features are ready to use. No email address or password is required. The service processes an anonymous user ID, nickname, friend code, player-card customisation, level and statistics, matches, leaderboard entries, invitations, opponent, friend and block information, earned badges and moderation records. You can disable or delete the account in the app settings; offline play remains available.
Submitted questions, ratings and reports
If you contribute or review content, Qwizzy processes the submitted question and answers, category, difficulty, language, review status and your anonymous account ID. Submitted questions are sent from a Supabase server function to OpenAI, L.L.C. for automated quality, safety, correction and translation checks. This transfer can include the question, answers, marked correct answer, category, difficulty, language, review metadata, an internal submission ID and the anonymous account ID. OpenAI API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI models by default. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring logs containing API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days unless longer retention is legally required. Ratings and reports may include a copy of the question as it appeared at that time. This information is used to review submissions, improve question quality, prevent abuse and handle moderation.
Advertising and purchases
The ad-supported version uses Google Mobile Ads and Google’s consent platform. Depending on your consent, device settings and region, Google may process device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, diagnostics and advertising interactions. Purchases are handled exclusively by Apple or Google. Qwizzy uses the store transaction result on the device to unlock or restore Premium. To verify, unlock and restore Premium, the store-provided purchase receipt or purchase token is securely sent to Qwizzy’s Supabase backend and associated with the anonymous online account. The receipt or token is verified with Apple or Google. Qwizzy does not receive payment-card details. The receipt or token is not stored in plain text; only a cryptographic hash and the transaction, product and entitlement data needed to prevent fraud and manage Premium access are retained.
Notifications and reminders
If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Qwizzy process a push token, platform and language together with match information to notify you about turns and results. On Android, optional reminders may also use your time zone, locale, last-active time and daily-challenge, gift and streak status to schedule relevant messages. Notifications can be disabled in your device settings.
Security and network data
Supabase and the other providers may process IP addresses and network or diagnostic data when their services are contacted. Qwizzy also records IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention. App write-request security logs are deleted after one day; deletion requests are separately rate-limited to protect accounts.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, app and online functionality is processed to provide the service you request; security, fraud prevention, moderation and service reliability are processed on the basis of legitimate interests; and personalised advertising or similar processing is based on consent where required. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Providers, transfers, retention and deletion
Data is shared only with providers needed for these functions: Supabase, OpenAI, Google Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, Apple and Google Play. These providers may process data outside your country under their own safeguards and privacy terms. Account-linked online data is generally kept while your anonymous account is active or as needed for security and moderation. You can delete it in the app settings or through the secure web deletion request. Local data can be reset in the app or removed by uninstalling it; provider security logs follow the provider’s retention rules.
Your choices and rights
You can use offline game modes without keeping an online account, change advertising consent through the in-app privacy options where available, disable notifications, restore purchases and delete the anonymous account. Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests and complain to a data-protection authority.
Children
Qwizzy is a quiz for a general audience and does not knowingly ask for a real name, email address, precise location or payment information. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of online and advertising features.

Account deletion
Delete your Online account.
Securely remove your anonymous Qwizzy Online account and account-linked server data. Your public friend code alone is never enough to authorise deletion.

Enter the eight-character friend code shown in Qwizzy. A separate six-digit code will appear only inside the app that owns the account.

Open Qwizzy on the device that owns this account. The six-digit code appears automatically and remains valid for ten minutes.
