Privacy policy

Your privacy matters.

Qwizzy protects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app processes, why it is needed and what choices you have.

Data on this device

Settings, offline high scores, player names, premium status, level and a local copy of your submission history are stored on your device. This data is not uploaded unless one of the features described below requires it.

Online Duel and Supabase

When Online Duel is enabled, Qwizzy creates an anonymous account and processes an anonymous user ID, nickname, friend code, player card, level, matches, leaderboard entries, invitation settings, reports and submitted questions. This data is required for online play, moderation and synchronisation.

Advertising and purchases

The ad-supported version uses Google Mobile Ads and Google’s consent platform. Depending on your consent and region, Google may process device information, advertising IDs, IP address, diagnostic data and interactions with advertising. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; Qwizzy does not receive payment card details.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Qwizzy process a push token for your device and match information to notify you about turns and results in Online Duel. Notifications can be disabled in your device settings.

Sharing, storage and deletion

Data is shared only with the service providers needed for the functions described above: Supabase, Google Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, Apple and Google Play. Online data is stored for as long as your anonymous account remains active or as required for security. You can permanently delete your Online Duel account and the associated server data in the app settings or through the secure web deletion request. Local data can be reset or removed by uninstalling the app.

Your choices and rights

You can use the offline game modes without an Online Duel account, withdraw your advertising consent through the privacy options where available, disable notifications, restore purchases and delete your Online Duel account. Depending on your country, you may also have rights of access, rectification, restriction, objection or data portability.

Children

Qwizzy is a quiz for a general audience and does not knowingly ask for a real name, email address, precise location or payment information. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of online and advertising features.

Controller and contact

The controller is the developer of Qwizzy named in the App Store or on Google Play. Privacy enquiries can be submitted using the developer contact address provided there.

Account deletion

Delete your Online account.

Securely remove your anonymous Qwizzy Online account and its associated server data. Your public friend code alone is never enough to authorise deletion.
